"We Are Bringing Our Babies Home!" | Print |

On Monday night, January 18, the Lord allowed 26 Haitian children from the Three Angels Orphanage to come home to their American and Canadian families.  A young woman from Indianapolis, along with the Haitian staff, is credited with bringing all of the children safely out of the orphanage after the earthquake struck.  Abbey McArthur, Director of Homeschooling at Three Angels, was able to rescue the children and then accompanied them on the donated Hendrick Motorsports aircraft that arrived in Fort Pierce at 7:30 Monday night.  The adoptive parents had waited and prayed for six hours after the quake to hear news of whether their children had survived the earthquake.  Some of these parents had already been waiting three years for the necessary paperwork to be completed by the Haitian government that would release them to their new homes.  On Monday morning, they received telephone calls telling them that the children had been released by the Haitian government and would fly into Florida that evening.  Through a series of miraculous events, including the provision of free chartered jet flights, most of the parents arrived outside of U.S. Customs in time to receive their children safely into their waiting arms.  It was a long process, but by approximately 12:30 am, the last set of available parents received their little one.

We at Missionary Flights were blessed to be able to be a part of this story by providing air support, along with our partner Hendrick Motorsports, to these little ones and their new families.

The video below tells their story.  Praise the Lord!  His strength is indeed perfect.
