Let me share the exciting ways God has been at work at MFI!

Some years ago a national figure proclaimed, "I have a dream".  In 1964, I had a dream, and that dream has now become a reality.

The Lord laid on my heart the vision of a flight service to missions in the Caribbean.  I was flying a small twin engine aircraft conducting teen evangelism rallies in conjunction with resident island missionaries.  On every flight my small airplane was packed with supplies to keep a missionary family on the job.  Because of their need, the delivery service grew, and in 1964, MISSIONARY FLIGHTS INTERNATIONAL was born!

MFI has grown into a full air support ministry to Bible-believing missions.  In 1976, we upgraded from the Twin Beech 18’s we were flying, to our first Douglas DC-3.  In 2003, the Lord made possible, through generous financial giving from many friends, the addition of a Turbine powered DC-3 to our fleet.  It has revolutionized our air support to missions.  Now, it is my privilege to share the next exciting step in my vision for MFI.

My dream dating back to the 60’s was for MISSIONARY FLIGHTS to have a home -- an operational base that would include a hangar/warehouse and office complex.  Now, that dream has been realized!  Praise the Lord!!  At last, MFI has a home!  In March 2006's special FLIGHT BRIEFING, and here on the MFI website, you can read about the large hangar/office building that the Lord has led us to buy in answer to much prayer.  Yes, the cost is considerable, but the God we serve owns the cattle on a thousand hills – He is not limited in what He can do; He is only limited by our lack of faith and vision.

Will you do two things for MFI?  First, PRAY daily for MFI as we continue our fund-raising effort to pay for the cost of this hangar complex.  Second, PRAY about the part the Lord wants you to have in the fulfillment of my dream of years ago.  Remember, your gift to help MFI also helps over 700 missionaries that MFI serves.  Having been here since the beginning, I echo the words of Psalm 118:23 – "This is the Lord’s doing, it is marvelous in our eyes".  We eagerly look forward to your response.  God Bless and prosper YOU.

With every purchase, whether you are buying a car, a house, or a hangar complex, there is always the fine print.  For 42 years, MFI maintained our aircraft outside on the ramp at the West Palm Beach Airport.  Our faithful mechanics did not complain, even though they had to work in rain, heat, humidity, and blowing salt air filled with sand.  At the end of March, 2006, MFI moved into our hangar facility in Fort Pierce.  It is exciting to know that we now have a complex which combines our office, warehouse, and a secure hangar for our mechanics to work in.

Now for that fine print.  Rather than rent, MFI purchased the hangar in Ft. Pierce.  Because many of you donated to our "New Home" account for several years, and have continued to donate toward the "MFI Hangar Debt", we have almost 3/4 of the $1.7 million purchase paid off so far.  The current owner is carrying the balance due, and MFI will pay off the debt as soon as the funds come in.  Your prayers and gifts are greatly needed right now.  "Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf", II Cor. 1:11.  Thank you in advance for your faithful commitment to missions and MFI.
