VOLUNTEER

LOOKING FOR OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE ?

Missionary Flights International has been helping spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the impoverished souls in Haiti, Dominican Republic and the Bahamas for over 60 years.  We’ve only been able to do this with the help of those who come alongside us as volunteers.  Below please find ways you can help do God’s Kingdom work. 

MFI volunteer service areas include:  

In our flight hangar area 

  • Serving Mondays and/or Wednesdays, 8 am – 1 pm in our aircraft hangar 

  • Assist with loading our DC-3 aircraft 

  • Need to be able to routinely lift/move 50+ pounds 

  • Will be on your feet a good portion of the time 

  • Assist with keeping hangar restroom in good order 

  • Serving Tuesdays and/or Thursdays for our flight mornings, 5 -7 am  

  • Able to lift/move 50+ lbs. to assist with aircraft loading activities  

  • Good customer Service skills as you’ll be interacting with passengers 


In our warehouse area 

  • Help with opening boxes that are shipped to MFI designated to go to missionaries overseas in order to identify items that can’t be approved for shipping (hazmat items) – training provided 

  • Volunteers needed for 3 hour shifts between 10:00 am- 4:00 pm 

  • Able to routinely lift/move boxes 30+ lbs.  

  • Familiar with computers for simple data entry (training provided) 

  • Assist with keeping hangar restroom in good order 

 

MFI’s Hospitality Park located near to Headquarter offices/hangars: 

  • Assist with general cleaning of the Park’s cottages and other guest areas which could include: 

  • Food service areas within the Grand Room/kitchen 

  • Cleaning/ Sanitizing restrooms/ showers  

  • Dusting/window cleaning, vacuuming/mopping of floors as needed 

  • Washing of laundry used for guest bunk room beds   

  • Making of beds in cottages      

  • Assist with outside maintenance of the Park which could include: 

  • Mulching/ Weeding/ Lawn Maintenance   

  • Exterior spider web removal, sweeping and removal of (dead) bugs in patio/ car port areas  

  • Keeping the Pool area clean 


MFI’s Missionary Resource Store 

As you might imagine, MFI receives a remarkable amount of donations of all kinds.  We have a volunteer team who oversees accepting, cleaning and preparing these items for use by our affiliated missionaries.  These missionaries are able to order items from the Store for use in their mission activities.  There is no cost for the items, they just have to pay for the shipping. 

Below are volunteer needs for the Store: 

  • Able to come in and serve at least 1 day a week, Tuesday – Thursday, for 4-8 hours 

  • Assist with cleaning, organizing and packaging donated items to be displayed on the Store’s website 

  • If you are a photography buff with your own equipment, you could assist with photography needed to display items on website 

  • If you have a special eye for “fashion” and enjoy organizing men/women/children clothing for use by missionary families, YOU are needed
